Updated work! Megane Zine! Teaching!
I've added a ton of new work to my site. Phew! My apologies to those who kept hitting refresh for 6 months and finally gave up.

I have some work in a new show curated by Megane Zine at Gallery Target in Tokyo. The show runs from March 9 -18, 2012 and also features work by Ed Templeton, Kevin Lyons, Megan Whitmarsh, David Hanson, Yusuke Hanai, Jun Oson, Katsuo Design, Morimi, Shinpei Onishi, and Yu Nagaba. Go to www.gallery-target.com for more information.

And closer to home, Jeff Kleinsmith and I will be teaching another class at the School of Visual Concepts in Seattle this spring. We did it last year and it was awesome. I wish you could see our student evaluations. Apparently, we KILLED IT! Registration starts March 7 and spaces are limited. Click here for more information.

Robert Hardgrave visits LeDouxville
Happy holidays! There is so much happening in LeDouxville right now! First off, I have SEVERAL new prints available. Secondly, Robert Hardgrave and I created a body of work together titled 'Middle Footprint' and it's now on display at LeDouxville Space. All the pieces are available for sale by clicking here. Along with the original work, we also did some screen prints to accompany the show. They can be seen and purchased here and here.

In addition to that, some drawings from 'Atmospheric Conditions' are still available.

Thanks to everybody who came out to the opening of LeDouxville Space last night. And wow--what a turnout! I had a great time.

For those of you who couldn't make it, the space will be open Wednesday through Saturday from Noon to 6pm or by special appointment.

In addition to the upcoming shows in the front gallery (Robert Hardgrave + LeDoux opens December 1 and Shawn Wolfe + Arbito + LeDoux in January), I'm working on other events as well. Sign up for my mailing list (in the field below) or Facebook or Twitter for the scoop on upcoming events.

LeDouxville gallery coming Oct 2011
I'm currently hard at work on the LeDouxville gallery/retail space in downtown Seattle coming this October. It'll only be open for 3 months (Oct-Jan), so start preparing your visit now. In addition to the current items available on my site being available in person, I will be releasing new prints, shirts, and an ambitious new body of drawing and sculpture work. To say this is a mammoth undertaking for me is an understatement.

For more information, go here.

Help me help Japan!
A new screen print of mine has just been released by Tiny Showcase. $25 from the sale of each print will be donated to the International Red Cross' relief efforts in Japan.

This print is a companion piece to my Exit Strategy print, sharing the same size/dimensions. Where the black dot of Exit Strategy is an inviting hole to escape into, the red dot of Rising Sun is a symbol of strength, which doubles as the face of the traditional Maneki Neko icon.

Having lived in Japan, the recent tragedy is very personal for me. I have several friends there that have had their lives changed by the earthquake and resulting tsunamis (fortunately, all are alive and safe). Japan is truly a magical place and my hope is that through the sale of these prints, it can rebuild that magic.

Please share the link with your friends and order one for yourself.

Happy holidays!

I've just added 3 new screen prints to the shop. Each are 4-color prints, in editions of 75. They turned out nicely.

Upcoming Los Angeles show
I'll be in a large group show celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Sanrio (home to Hello Kitty, Badtz-Maru, Keroppi and many others). I'm told it will be in a huge airplane hanger and will be nothing short of incredible. I really hope my sources are right. Hope to see you there!

Gallery, gallery, gallery, gallery, MUSEUM!
This has been the year of the gallery for me. I've been in several shows already and have several more lined up. Two shows opened this weekend--one in San Francisco and one in Amsterdam. The lineup for the show in Amsterdam is especially incredible--Yoshitomo Nara, Ryan McGinness, KAWS, Thomas Campbell, Tim Biskup, Geoff McFetridge, Jim Houser...

Beyond that, I'm in a great group show in Brooklyn that was put together by Process, a show in Tokyo presented by the Megane zine, and in late June, I'm in my first museum show at the MADRE Museum of Contemporary Art in Naples, Italy. Needless to say, I'm quite excited (and perfectly freaked out). I've been posting progress photos to Twitter from time to time @LeDouxville.

ONE BUSY MARCH!!!
This month is action packed!

First off, I have six pieces in the Manifest Equality show in Los Angeles. Then, I have one piece a small group show at Flatcolor Gallery in Seattle. And third, I'll have a booth at the Emerald City Comicon in Seattle. I decided to make some new shirts on a whim. They will be released at the Emerald City Comicon, and available on my site shortly thereafter. Stay tuned!

Once the dust clears from those three, I'll need to get to work on some new pieces for an upcoming show at Giant Robot in NYC.

If you're one of those Twitter sorts of folks, follow me! If things are slow at the Comicon, I just might have to do a livetweet about all the Spidermen in polarfleece and/or Stormtroopers wearing socks with sandals. Oh, Northwest fashion. You never fail to amaze me.
