MASTERS OF BALANCE

Art installation at University of Maryland’s Art Gallery. Dark versus light, good versus evil, hot versus cold, work versus play—as humans we are always striving to find balance. Initially, the installation involved a cotton candy forest. But after a late night of spinning cotton candy to find the forest crumbling the next morning (and a large opening party scheduled for the following day), a drastic change of plan was needed. Enlisting a team of eager college students and one nervous curator, we made giant paper bag figures. The result was a transformative and memorable experience as you enter the room and walk amongst the dueling paper bag armies.
