In an age of digitally manipulated imagery and visual consumption via computer screens, it is all the more important to remember to get our hands dirty and take a look at actual objects in the three dimensional world.
Dirty Fingers focuses on a group of artists that are continuing to use various forms of printmaking as a viable contemporary medium. Silkscreening, etching, stenciling, and woodblock printing are some of the methods used in this large group exhibition featuring a wide range of imagery and content. The immediacy and accessibility of printmaking creates a medium that can be mass-produced in editions and sold affordably. The process of hand-printing also adds the distinction of the human hand at work, revealing its slight imperfections and labor to be quite refreshing to see. Join us for a showcase of our favorite printmakers from around the world.

In 2005, Minus the Bear asked me to create a tour poster for them. I enjoyed working with them, and apparently, the feeling was mutual because I've done several posters for them since. While discussing the poster for their tour this past fall, Erin, the drummer asked if I'd be interested in doing a video for their next single. My response was something to the effect of, "Duh. Of course!"
I bought a Risograph somewhat on a whim last year and then found myself too busy to use it. This year, I'm hoping to change that. First up is a small twelve page 2-color booklet called, In the Blink of an Eye. It's been a fun late-night diversion. They'll be available in the shop once they're finished. Stay tuned...
Although I created these 3 prints a while back, they're just now available from my site. The ink on ink on ink on ink on ink turned out really well with these. They'll also be available at Giant Robot's PRINTED MATTER show, if you're in L.A.
I have a few prints in the new show opening this Saturday at Giant Robot in Los Angeles. Check it out if you're in the area!
Currently neck deep, directing new video for Minus the Bear. The plan is for it to be finished by the end of the year.
R.I.P. Old website. Nearly seven years is a great run, ol' buddy. But toward the end, as your script warnings came more frequently and your international shipping modules became irreparable, we both knew your days were numbered.
And with that, please welcome this new website into the wide world of web. The images are now larger, the portfolio is quicker to navigate, and folks outside the U.S. can finally place orders to their heart's content.
